Peter and Drake were born on March 4, 2005. And to tell the fun story.
My doctor had me monitoring my blood pressure at home because it had gradually been climbing higher and higher. Well, Feb 28, I was hospitalized for high blood pressure and monitored to see if they would have to induce, but my blood pressure was not high enough to deliver them and not low enough to send me home.

So I spend a week in the hospital, with two attempts at labor (with the doctor on call not authorizing pain killers, so that was a night of no sleep). The next day MY doctor authorized demorrol shots and benadryl to help me sleep (for which I was very happy).
Friday morning they took my blood pressure again and it had finally gone high enough that they would go ahead and schedule the C-section, so it was scheduled for 2:00 in the afternoon. The catch came when my water broke at 10 in the morning, so they rescheduled for noon and set off to find the anesthestioligist (and I know that's spelled wrong). He had set off for lunch because he had already helped deliver 4 babies that morning  .

So, Peter was born at 12:36 at 5 pounds 5 ounces and 18 3/4 inches, and Drake was born at 12:38 at 5 pounds 7 ounces and 18 1/2 inches. We spent the next 4 days in the hospital and went home last Tuesday :bg: .

Here's the website where we uploaded the baby pictures.

So, I'll be rather sporadic in posting for the forseeable future, but wanted to let ya'll know what was up.

Congrats Pucktricks, goodly size for twins! Bigger than me as a singleton! I can't see the piccies either to my chagrin. You'll be back online before you know it - they always come back...
my advice, sleep whenever you can!

Thought ya'll would get a kick out of this. When we first came home we had to put the boys in the same cradle because they wouldn't sleep in separate (and I'm sure that's spelled wrong) cradles.
Well, the other day we had to put them in different ones because Peter was kicking his brother in the head. When it first happened we put them on opposite ends of the cradle, but Peter managed to squirm his way over (don't ask me how, since they have no mobility), and had managed to get himself out of his blanket and had started kicking his brother again. Now, the amazing part is that Drake was sleeping through this whole thing  .
Of course Drake had his own little adventure. When we put them down we bundle them up in blankets as tight as we can, but they've now learned how to get out of them. So he had kicked his way out of his blankets and had managed to squirm his way out of his clothes and across the cradle and had almost managed to get out of his diaper as well  .
So, they're definetely keeping us busy. And at some point in the distant future I might actually have time to sleep (I know, I could be now, but I'm so terrible at napping, so at 8 tonight I'll be wanting to crawl into bed, but will have to wait until after the late night feed).
