This was sent to me late last night. Please respond here if you can help, thanks. Hi Mary Iam about at my wits end. I have been trying for I don't know how long to get a basic pattern made for a blouse and pants and I have tried everyone's basic pattern out there and nothing is working. Currently I have tried to do a muslin on a blouse with a side bust dart and short sleeves. When I raise my arms it pulls from the sleeves into the bust area and I don't know how to fix it. It isn't a big bust problem - B cup - any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Eileen MaryW

Is your blouse very fitted under the bust area.. Seems to me that I had a blouse that pulled like that because it really was too snug in the midriff area.. (from under bust to waist) Seems like all the young women I see on TV these days are wearing their blouses or shirts a trifle too snug in that area.. (They look uncomfortable , to me..)

In Fast fit Sandra Betzina says if you have a pleat starting in your sleeve travelling to your bust there is not enough fullness for your bust, she gives a good explanation on how to alter the pattern but you really need to see the pictures (pg 156-159) hope that helps
