Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on sewing machine servicing...how often should i get it done ???any input would be appreciated...

Depends on the machine, how much you sew and what kind of machine it is.
If you sew a LOT, EVERY DAY, I'd take it in more often. Embroidery machines go in more often than serger's. (more to the embroidery machines than there is to the sergers). I'd take a regular sewing machine in at LEAST once a year.
Every 6 months if it's sewn on a lot....keeping your machine clean will go a LONG way to keeping it free of repair. (blowing/sucking the lint out, using quality thread, oiling (if you can on your machine), trying NOT to break needles, etc.)
