Where is a great place to get small amounts of Fabric Dye? I live in a kind of small town and don't have any idea where to get it other than large manufacturers who have like 700 gallon minimum =p Thank You |

I found at an fine art store (not craft) Jacquard dyes and fabric paints. They are artist quality and about 2.80 per color. www.jacquardproducts.com is the website. From the swatches at the art store the fabric paint is actually close to the feel of something dyed, meaning there doesn't seem to be a coating like you'd get with craft dye. You will find these dyes at art stores that are fine art stores, not your Michaels or Joanns. Those are craft stores and you will NOT find fine art dyes at these craft stores. I'd go with the dyes that are mean for fine art silk painting if you want something decorative. Also, www.dharmatrading.com is a good site for dyes as well. Kelly |
