Selling some items at my first craft show this weekend!! Very exciting. I'm not actually attending, a friend of mine who is also selling antiques is going to sell the stuff we made together. Beach glass jewellery (really basic stuff) is most of what we did, but we also made some tea cup birdfeeders. I am hooked on making the jewellery...and oddle enough, the 'buzz' I got from making jewellery, seen as its quick to make, has helped me start quilting again, something that gets overwhelming for me at times because it takes so long to see results. If she sells even one piece of jewellery I'll be ecstatic! |

Good Luck and I hope you sell every last one! I have been thinking about trying a craft show. We have some really nice ones in the area where I live. I just don't know if I have enough time to make enough of the products to sell. Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

My friend and I have been working every Friday afternoon, while the husbands watch the kids. I think setting a regular time helps...keeps others from interrupting with 'I need mom for this' type of stuff...I just say, nope, I'm working! If we do sell something, look out...hubby might have to do a full day (he is self-employed and works only the morning on Fridays, so there is a little room there for me to take Fridays if I can actually make some money). Of course, next step I guess is checking out going into a home-based business...that's a little scary. |

Well...didn't sell much, but did have a business owner give us their card and say they'd like to talk about selling some of our crafts in their store...so that's exciting! Good first experience anyway. |

My first show was similar. I know exactly how you feel. Keep plugging away, keep refining your techniques and finding out what is popular too. You are going to do just fine, you have lots of support. MaryW
