I have a Kenmore 385-1764180, probably about 15 years old and am making vests for my son and grandson to wear in my son's wedding. I pulled out the old buttonholer and cannot remember for the life of me how to use it. Does anyone know where I could find the instructions for the attachment? :bang:

I have an attachment for my Kenmore, but don't know if it is the same type as the one you have. Do you have a picture, or part number, or maybe you could describe it? Mine makes oval and keyhole buttonholes. I have an instruction sheet with mine. I have scanned the instruction sheet. Send me your email in a private message, and I will email a copy.
Take care,
Donna

Does it have a plate (with a raised tab) that snaps onto the machine a a few clear inserts, each with multiple sized buttonholes marked on them?

I sewed on my Mom's old Kenmore before I got my new machine... not sure of the model number but I may be able to help you.
