This is a very rough time for all our Catholic members right now.
I am not of this religion but, I just wanted to let you know that I am keeping The Pope and all of you in my Prayers.
Our world seems to be in so much grief and sorrow right now.

Thanks Naomi, I didn't see this post until I posted the other one about the pope. He has touched many lives and not just Catholic. They say that when he went to Cuba that Castro was touched by his presents. I know a lot of people don't know his role in our faith but this pope has made a difference like no other has. His kindness and his humble ways has surely shown the human side of the man he was. This is a very sober time for us. Thanks for your prayers. We are all sisters and brothers in this world.

I agree Suzie... this Pope has touched people of all faiths...I was raised in an era when there was stil significant animosity between Catholics, this Pope made a definite difference in that relationship...even for people who are not Christian, Pope John Paul II has set an example of a truly Godly person, regardless of what name you call Him by...

just my 2 cents....

The Pope has had a wonderful life, giving to others and NOT being above it all (as some others have been). I'm sorry to see him so ill. But he's lived his life to the fullest he could, and he's fighting to the end..Good for him !
Thank (whoever YOU thank) for people like him in the world....

I am not Catholic either but I've always been impressed by this pope. He did not place himself above and away from the people, but he was so good at reaching out, something that I don't remember other popes doing. He always impressed me at the way that he stated his mind and didn't bow to heads of state and try to make a show. I've seen him step on a lot of toes and never blink an eye! Good for him!!!! Even the circumstances of his appointment were amazing. If ever a person was born to rise to this position, it must have been him.
