I'd buy one of those longarm quilting machines ($10,000 or more), hire someone to cut my quilt pieces, but I'd sew'em and quilt'em.
That would be AFTER I move to a larger house, in a more quiet place.

I might also have to have some more embroidery machines, of different kinds...LOVE embroidered quilts.

Kids through college, pay off mortgage, new car, look after the in laws, party in Susie's pool with Dorothy, visit Mary, climb Ayres rock, walk up Eiffel Tower, have a turkish massage, ..........can I stop now?

don't you have to do the lottery to get somewhere... rats.

I like the idea of someone else cutting out the patterns!!!!! Will have to invest in that one, plus someone to do the hand sewing ( never did like doing that)

If I'd win the lottery ( don't play so won't ) I'd try & help people that are doing hard to help themselves but need a boost. Pay for much needed operations that kids & the elderly need that they can't afford in this country. Feed the children that go to bed hungry in this country. Help a single parent out that is working hard & struggling. I say in this country because there is such a need here at home & most don't get that help. I feel for everyone but charity begins at home.

I'm with you beachgirl. I'd help the needy here and then I'd party in my pool. But it won't be in Chalmette. It will be in Hawaii or Tahiti or somewhere like that. Then Sewhappie could bring that cruise ship around to my private port with you all on it and we could all party on down. :nah: After playing for a while I'd build me a hugh compound where all my children would have their own houses and all the ex's could have houses so all the grands could live with both their parents. All my kids ex's get along except for one and my son has custody of his daughter from that marriage due to her husband now was arrested selling drugs out of the house they lived in so I wouldn't want them to live next to me anyway. I live in a fairytale world don't you think. But it would be nice. I'm dreaming BIG Ladies

I have wanted my own island forever, lol....but that longarm quilt machine sounds good to me too!

I would love to have a huge area of land out in the country, with small homes on it, as a place for abused women to run to. A place of safety and peace, where broken families could heal, and find strength to start over. I spent the night in a shelter once, and it was just awful......

OOOUUGH Allie you hit a nerve. I know what you mean about having a place in my heart for the abused women. The sad part of all that is that most women who live like that believe they deserve the blows and don't realize the truth until it's almost too late.

They poke fun of me because I live in my own little world. My husband sometimes says to me, "Earth calling Susie" That's okay let him make fun all he wants, that's how I keep my sanity living in this zoo we call earth.

Last year when we went to Crusin the Coast a guy stayed at our motel who had one for sale. A RED ONE, Oh how I wish. I took my camera year before last and when I came home with all the pics from getting them developed my husband was in shock I had taken nothing but 1967 - 1969 cameros None of any other cars. ROFL

Mamadus, have you ever heard of Cruisin the Coast? www.cruisinthecoast.com It's a car lovers dream come true. We go every year.

I'll take you all shopping in the NY city garment district. We will appoint someone to keep Jan in line and out of the naughty stores at Times Square.

Dorothy I'll make sure to tell the Captian of the Cruise Ship that New York Ports are a must, (so we can hit the garment districts!!!) Them we'll even throw in some Broadway Shows while we are there.

I think that I would have better shelters for animals.

Yesterday with Super7 at 10,000,000.00 I was contemplating boarding school for my dear kids. But maybe this very long 2 week break is getting to me :bang: :nah:.

I would set up a scholarship for kids who might not otherwise have a chance to go on to post secondary.

I would make sure my grandkids had the education they needed to get along in this world. Their parents can fend for themselves.

I would travel, hubby and I would stop in Toronto long enough to pick up Joanne and away we go. No forwarding address. We would just pop in on all of you one day!

England sounds neat, so does New Orleans. Been there, had a great time.

New York fabric district would be a longer stay. :bluewink:

I think we should watch out for Scarey Mary. She'll be in that pool faster than winking.

This is easy for me to answer because when I can't sleep at night I pretend that I've won the lottery and how I'll share it.
I would immediately pay off my daughters' student loans and give them enough to buy a nice house and new car and set up trust funds for the grandchildren.
I have 7 brothers and sisters, two have died but one left a family.
I have over 25 neices and nephews - and several great nieces and newphews
So they would all get a big chunck for sure.
I have several charities that would receive a huge donation, like the Candian Cancer, Athritis Foundation, Friends of Rondeau (Provincial Park program), Batten's Foundation, etc.
There are many women's shelters and hospices that could use some of it too.
Also, there are several Indian reserves that could use some help as some of them are very poor and the kids need some motoviation to learn so I would adopt at least one of those.

For me myself and I - a new Babylock serger and embroidery machine and I like the idea of the long arm quilting machine.
For hubby - a house in the south for the winter.

For the city where I live - a new MRI machine!

I think I'll have to win two lotteries to do all that I would want to do!!
I buy the odd ticket but not very regular I'm afraid. Not much of a gambler but way big on dreaming!!

I would sell my house in So Cal, and move to Montana. We lived there when dd #1 was born, and it was perfect- :sigh: The town we lived in was named "Highwood"--there were no paved streets, only a tiny bar and a mom n pop's grocery (40 mins from Great Falls and "civilization") Pure Heaven to me.
Then I would buy an embroidery machine. I would donate even more money to St Jude's and the Saint Bernard Rescue--our current charities. And I would
have plenty of money to spend on material.
I would insist (lol) dh quit his job, and open the gun shop/gym he has always wanted (hey, its Montana, after all).... and I would put myself through nursing school, get a job as a nurse on a children's ward, and finally be able to buy dh's b-day and Christmas gifts without using money he worked to earn!
Oh, and put my 3 dd's through college---with the stipulation that they NEVER move more than 30 mins away from us!

:USA: After the usual stuff, pay off bills, house and charity. I would buy back as much of my family homestead in SE Oklahoma as I could. Then, my brothers and I and our families could go back home and raise cattle and horses and work together like we have always dreamed of doing.

I would get a place to live with a room to sew and paint as well as pay bills. Also buy a car as I am stuck with a broken down truck my ex tried to tear up as he knew I would get it. He got the good car. Buy insurance as ex did not pay my insurance as ordered. I have just went through breast cancer, skin cancer, and thumb joint replacement that has to be done over, plugs in my eyes, five surgeries in a year and a half and a divorce. Judge is putting me out of my house though I am still sick with an infection in my breast and eye problems from the treatments. Husband got everything because of his job in the town we live in. I know of two others going through the same thing with husbands that work for this company. Long story and getting longer. I have appealed to the state but will be put out before any thing with that can happen if it even does. I have 3 weeks with no idea of where I will move or how as I am on disability. I have no family here as I moved to this area because of ex's job. Have turned judge and lawyer in. Don't know if it will help. I would like to ask for prayers please from all of you that pray.

Maggie, You will be in my prayers this week. Unfortunatly we are given the choice to choose and that's why this evil goes on, God doesn't create evil............ people choose to do evil things. You will be rewarded if only in the end so hang in there, your Ex will have to answer for his doings and so will the judge, you don't do bad things and not have to answer for these dirty deeds. Keep your faith and good things will happen. We are all here to listen.

Hey Dorothy, want to change your mind and come with us? ROFLMAO!

I know they will all get it in the end. I even told my ex and my lawyer (who is in with them) this. They don't believe that so it went in one of their ears and out the other. It just doesn't help me right now so I appreciate prayers.

Canadian prayers to you Maggie. The ex and the lawyers will get theirs someday when they least expect it. It may not help you out know but know it will happen. Hang in there and I hope you have contacted whoever is in charge of the lawyers in your State and have them investigated....you obviously should have gotten a lawyer from another city but that's hindsight now.
Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up.

I am trying to find a lawyer in West Virginia who can practice in KY. This was the advice of the Bar Assoc. I am out of money for another lawyer and am trying to find one pro bono. Don't know if I will have any luck. I would like to sue the judge and lawyer also and they deserve it. This whole story is unbelievable and like I said, I am not the only one here that is going through it. One woman is in a shelter, has been for over a year, two open heart surgeries and is on dialysis. She isn't getting a penny after 36 years of marriage. She is afraid to do anything. I have an advocate that is helping me and she wanted her to come in so there would be more evidence against them but she wouldn't. I don't know the other one. I just heard about her a couple of days ago. I am going to try to contact her to see if she will turn them in also. I am sure it would help if it wasn't only me. They have people around here scared to go against them. I have nothing to loose at this point. Ex has just about everything including personal positions from before marriage that I have been trying to get back for over two years. He is ordered to give them back but ignores the judge as he gets by with it.

I am not from here and did not know they were so crooked. I have learned a lot from this experience. I am fighting now for those who may come after me as well as myself. Someone needs to do something about this place. No one should be treated like I have. You would think this was a third world country where women have no rights. The good ole' boy network is alive and well around here, the whole state from what I have heard.

Thanks for your prayers. I know prayer is my best hope as God is bigger than they are....Maggie

Maggie, it is not uncommon in more rural areas for a system of justice to exist that is unlike anything the vast majority of Americans would recognize... I have seen this same type of situation in rural north central PA...In that situation its a one judge county... justice is meted out according to who you know and if you're willing to play ball with the powers that be... you have my sympathy... I wish you luck... I've been fighting this kind of "JUSTICE" for many years to no avail... its like they have their own little feifdom!! totally unbelievable, and the vast majority of more urban americans would find it absolutely incredible that these situations could exist in modern day America...

just my 2 cents...

Hi Mo, This is very true. I moved here from the Chicago area because of ex's job. I have said that if I wasn't living here and living this myself I probably wouldn't believe half of it. This was a very short version. I could write a book as this has gone on for over two years and isn't over. Thanks for your support....Maggie
