I am making a Bargello quilt. Well not a whole big quilt just enough to insert on the back of a jacket. I am having one heck of a time pressing the completed strips. I have half of the design done and I have pressed but it does not want to stay flat. I keeps wanting to have a sorta hump. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas would be helpful.

Are your seams nice and straight? As you sewed each seam, were the edges of the fabrics matched? It helps to press the seam flat as it is sewn, and then open it up and press again. A little steam might help, also. Good luck!
