It seems like I am constantly having to buy rotary cutter replacement blades. Can the blades be sharpened with something instead of buying so many replacements.

YES! there is a sharpner for 2 sizes of blades, the 45mm and the 78mm. I got both of mine at Jo-Ann's they were near the scissors and rotaey blade display. I think I paid around $18 for each but it has saved me much more money in being able to sharpen my blades. I had my first sharpner for years and years before I felt it needed replacing. If you can't find it some where let us know and we will find a source for you.
