Hi,
I wanted to let you know that I have only had one opportunity to sit with my "new" white 3300, the day it arrived, my Mom went into the hospital, and two of my out of state siblings came and stayed with us, so time and desire have both been hard to come by.
I can say however that I now "know" I want a converter box, but have no idea which would be the better choice, I am leaning toward to Ultimate Box, but any suggestions are welcome.
I can see how this hobby is addictive/expensive. It feels like shopping leapfrog, one item to the next, lol.
please let me know what your recommendations for a converter are, I look forward to your expertise.
Thanks in avance, Monica

I am relatively new to this forum, and I too have some new "toys". My husband surprised me with a new Baby Lock Ellageo, along with the Palette soft ware. I also had to get a new converter box. Got the Amazing Box. I had the Simplicity version, but it finally died...think the couple of drops the cat caused had its toll. I have done a few things, but haven't been able to do all I want to yet. These machines are so smart. I finally finished a scarf for my coffee table in the RV. Really a small thing to do, but just finally got it finished. I am trying to get into the digitizing....wow, lots to learn for this old Dog. But with the grandkids, I want to be able to digitize things they are interested in. Now just have to get the time to sit down and really go through all of it. At least I have a good source at the place we bought the machine...they are super people.

suggestion regarding a reader/writer box.. if you get the EMBIRD basic program I believe they have an offer for the ULTIMATE box for about $130. What's nice about the Ultimate box is that it holds more than 6 designs, which is the limit of most of the other boxes. The Ultimate box limit is based on the number of stitches, not the number of designs. It's also much less expensive than most of the other boxes.
Sue... if you got the Palette software you should have gotten a reader/writer box with it... that's the dongle that allows the pallette software to work... you shouldn't have even needed the Amazing box. Also Sue,if you are interested in learning to digitize, check out the LOES tutorials.. they are great.. very easy to follow...

just my 2 cents..

Thanks MO, I will check that out. I did get the reader/writer box with the Palette. I still wanted the Amazing box to use apart from the Palette. I have a lot of patterns on CD that I have gathered over the last few years. I have managed to get through a few chapters on Palatte...still so much to learn and try! It will keep me busy for a while, but I enjoy doing things like that. Thank heavens I have grandkids and girls that like the things Grandma makes!
