Hello Mary Ann, I have made them from organza and also used a three thread serged rolled hem. It really came out nice. Use a color that matches closely and you should not have any problems. Best wishes Arub "The struggle is not greater than the goal". Be blessed. Stay encouraged.

The only time I ever sewed on that fabric was the embroidered kind, and I was making a 'Mother of the bride jacket ' for my sister's outfit we were working on.. I was using her Pfaff with that treasure of dual feed or whatever you call it, and it was worth its weight in gold for that project, let me tell you.. No slipping and sliding there.. It was soooo easy..I have some red and green sparkle organza I bought this past winter to make a tree skirt, but after my brother got so sick, I had to put it away til next year..

It is very resilient. I don't like doing a machine rolled hem or flat felled seam (as in color guard flags) on it because it wants to stay straight. A serged edge works very well be very pretty. I've made it into lots of garments with no problems.

I used Lavender organza last year for a table cover for our Ladies' Tea. I did a 3 thread rolled hem with a darker Lavender serger thread and it was lovely over a white lace table cloth. It was very easy to work with and took the rolled hem excellently. Patsy Patsy
