Jo's idea about sending blocks in for charity is wonderful. Someone will be kept warm and appreciate the effort you girls have all put forth.

Here is another idea for extra blocks.

Put three together for a table runner. Add binding and voila, a nice new addition to your room. Another idea is to use one block for a pillow cover. Add a backing plus some stuffing and you have a pillow to match your table runner. :bluewink:

Who else has ideas for extra blocks?

I seen a toilet seat cover done with the flower block!

How about a tote bag? You could use a block for the front of the bag or a large pocket. Also I've seen one or two blocks done as a wallhanging. You could use it in your sewing room or at the office.
Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

How about placemats, pot holders. I suppose you could also use the block for the top part in the assembly and making of an apron. Also you could use leftover blocks to make a valance.

I was thinking computer cover but ours doesn't get time to get covered much when the kids are home. I do like the idea of the machine/ serger cover.

I saw a purse made of quilt blocks. It was very pretty.

I've used extra blocks for quilt labels.
