Please respond here if you can help, thanks.

Dear Mary We are making a quilt for my daughters wedding, called a signature quilt. We have used white muslin for the write on patches and will be taking it down finished tied to the wedding. What best could we have people to sign it with that would be kind to the many hours we have spent quilting it. By the way it was my first quilt and thank god for many watched quilt shows and my connection to your useful tips were doing pretty good, my daughter in law and I. Thanks you for any information you can give me as to this information. Oh I live in Chehalis, WA. USA By for now hope to h ear from you soon. Peg Fritz

I made a signature quilt last year for a friend who was retiring. I think the pens we used for signing it were called pigma pens. I purchased them at WalMart in the craft section. They came in a pack of 5 I believe. Black, red, green, yellow, and blue.
Before I decided to use them, I wrote on scraps of the fabric from the quilt, heat set it with an iron, and washed and dried it. The ink stayed on fine.
For a quilt as special as a wedding quilt, I would be sure to test on scraps first. Good luck. I'm sure the quilt will be treasured. :bluesmile

YES Pigma Pens. You can get them at Joann Fabrics or Michael's, or even Walmart I believe. They come in different widths and colors and tips. I agree, always test first on the fabric you're planning on using!
