OK. Here we go again. This month we will be swapping trim. There is nothing too difficult about this one. I am just going to add a little twist to it to make it more fun. I will assign each person a rule to follow (color, theme or something. Can be negotiated if you already have trim on hand for the swap). Nobody will know what you will be sending except you and me. I love secrets and surprises! :bluewink:

 Sign up date: May 1st.
 Groups of about 10.
 NO previous swap required.
 3 yard minimum
 Mail out date: May 21st.
 Please post when you send.
 Please post when you receive.
 Please post any questions.
 Please PM me when you have received from everyone on your list

If you want in PM me the following:
Name (real and nickname here on the site)
Address
E-mail
Phone Number (in case I can’t reach you any other way)

It makes it a lot easier for me if you give your info each time you sign up for a swap.
As for the twist. It will be assign at the same time you get your list around the 1st. I know the suspense is killing you, but you'll just have to wait for May to get here :nah: .

You got mail. Can't wait to find out my twist. We just got a new Walmart that has the most fabulous fabric and trims (when have you been to a Walmart with brocades? And it was quality fabric, I checked it over...... oh it was sooooo tempting, but I'm trying to sew through my stash).

This has been a quiet swap.
Is everyone doing OK?
I found the perfect trim to fit my twist, but there was only twelve yards left. So now I have to find a different one for the last person.
don't forget the mailout deadline is the 21st.
Can't wait to see what you all found.

I'm having trouble finding something for my twist-will hit the stores again this week, I might be a little late mailing out. Will keep you posted.

I actually found several, so each person has a different trim. I'm hoping everyone likes their trims.
I'm going to mail it out on Friday (my husband has the next two weeks off, so he can watch the twins while I go out to mail stuff).

Took a trip this afternoon to a super Joann's and finally found some trim with my twist! Not enough of it though so have a couple different kinds going out. All will go out in the mail tomorrow. Hope everyone likes their trim. This swap was much more challenging than most-made it fun! Knew if I broke down and went to the super store I'd find something.

Hey all,
The host is really on the ball this month. Mine will go out tomorrow. I was going to get them out today but ended up on the couch with a migraine.
What an example I set. I am going to have to ban myself from my own swaps if I keep this up. :nah:

I know I had swaps planned to go through July but I think that I am going to take a break after the June one and start back up in September. Would you all be OK with that?

I have received from.
Hogmami- a lovely green lace
Pucktricks-beautiful flowers that I had not pictured when I assigned that twist (I had in my mind those bright pink things you are seeing everywhere)
esrun3- a very nice gold braid.

I love seeing everyone's interpretation of their twist. I can't wait to see what Peggy and Jada have sent.

Which one did I send you Gina? When I finally got to the post office there was a line, and I just got in thinking I would have time to think things through and by the time I got to the front I just stuffed things in and the post office attendant stuck the addresses on. I had so much fun picking out my flowers and butterflys I got six different ones and kept a few for myself.

OH and I want to know what everyone's twist was. Here's my guesses from what I've gotten:

Hogmami- lace
Esrun3- braid

Ticia, received your lovely ribbon with flowers today......already trying to decide what to make my granddaughter to add it to! It's really cute. You're welcome for the baby blankets-believe me, I know how many you can go through. I had hoped to have time to hand make something for your darlings but just ran out of time. Laughed when I read elsewhere that you were doing blue on one and all other colors on the other little boy! I had already picked up the blankets and hadn't even considered that when I picked colors!

Yes, my twist was braid. Can't wait to see what everyone else had!

Sure is fun to have the added "mystery" twist!

Ticia,

I got black with gold and pink/red/orange(can't tell what color they are exactly) flowers.
It goes beautifull with the gold braid I got from Lyn.

I have recieved:

Blue lace from Carolyn, Gold braid from Lyn, and gold ribbon with blue, orange, green and red/brown flowers from Ticia. Thank you all. They are all very nice and I am trying to decide what I want to do with them.

I recieved Carolyn's package on Monday but have not been able to post. The others were given to me this morning-they came in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our In-house mailperson put them in "my" mail tray and then put newspapers on top of them.

I am enjoying this swap. Thanks for the lovely trims.

Peggy received your very pretty beaded trim today! Thank you! I laughed when I saw the box......you ship in items like I do! Bet the mailcarrier wondered why someone was shipping me Emergency Candles!! LOL

One Christmas when one of my dil's had just joined the family, we were opening gifts and my sister had sent her a gift in a koolaid box......the look on her face when she opened the wrapping paper was priceless! And the tone of her voice-she didn't know what to say to a box of koolaid! Of course, there was a bracelet or necklace or something in it-can't remember what anymore-but she was sure it was a box of koolaid! We all burst out laughing at the look on her face because we KNEW there was no koolaid to be found!

I've gotten everyone's trims and very much enjoyed all of the extra little surprises! I love all of the trims and can't wait to find projects for them. This was such a fun swap.
Thank you Pudge for creating it with all of the little twists. Okay, well I'm off to feed the boys, but wanted to stop in real quick to say thanks to everyone and that I LOVED the trims and gifts.
