I would like to see one with tractors and farm stuff (John Deere is my passion).http://www.allemoticons.com/Transportation/tractor.gif

Maybe Chickens.http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/a39.gif They are really in right now.

I really like the blue on white idea. Maybe something similar with other colors.

how about fishing? I too like the color combinations. Or how about really bright, really bold or flashy-something you wouldn't normally buy but ends up looking great when worked into a quilt?

Pat - well MY young girls like Buzz Lightyear (Sarah, the 4 year old) and froggies (Alyssa, the 5 year old). YES, I know that's not "normal"! :bluewink:

I like the idea of a novelty type swap geared toward kids fabrics.

What about August or September for the fossil ferns? I will put a little a pay away, since they will be a bit more costwise, but WELL worth it...Hopefully others will want to join that one as well.

Over the Rainbow (http://www.overrainbow.com) has them for $6.75 right now. BUT if you wait til closer to when you want to order, go to Quilt Shops.com (http://www.quiltshops.com) and type in fossil fern and you'll come up with a bunch of shops - that's usually how I manage to get them for around $6!!

I also wanted to put in a vote for fairy frosts - very pretty...here is a link to some:

Fairy Frosts (http://www.afabricoasis.com/MMFairyFrost.html)

This site has them for kind of a lot, and you can find them cheaper, but they have a great selection!

I would like to put my 2 cents worth in....I might be able to join in on a few of these! :bluewink:
Love the Fairy Frosts....the color lilypad is a yummy green!! The site you posted has all of the fabric colors ...those are pretty!!!
The fossil fabrics are pretty...what do you make with them..and the Fairy Frosts as well??

I would love to have a FROG theme!! :bg: I adore frogs!! :bg:

Another idea would be to have a theme month....where each person has a theme in mind...like I would pick frogs~ :bg: ~ When the person signs up they tell you thier theme.....then when you put the groups together each person would send me frog fabric....then if say you had 5 people in a group, one like chickens, one farm equiptment, one roses and the other angels..then you would send a piece of selected fabric to each person! Then each person would receive 4 different fabrics! {hope that makes sense}

I'm new to this swapping thing!

I did really enjoy the Scavenger Hunt Swap~it was great fun and I loved the items I received!

mgf~

Frogs have it easy....they just eat what's buggin' them.

I use my ferns & frosts as blenders - like in the place of a solid or marble. Also - I'd love a quilt of all different ferns! Very pretty.

I like your idea of a theme - mine would be duckies - but that would be hard, as they're not too easy to find!

Hey Shari, I made my MIL a quilt made up solely of the fossil ferns the first time we swapped them, and it came out gorgeous...no dividing strips, just squares...I also love the frosts, they are very pretty too...

This shop carries ALL the Fossil Ferns($7.75) and the Fairy Frosts($7.25), too.
And, they sell either by the yard or by fat quarters - makes it really easy for me to pick and choose for swaps, etc.
