Hi, everyone! I am making this beautiful couture Vogue pattern. The link to it is below. I want the top (the short sleeved one) to be made of a nice crisp fabric so it will have some structure to it. It is a tailored shirt. But, I will be wearing it as a shirt not a jacket, so I want to be able to move in it. And I want it to be breathable. What type of fabric should I use on it? Any suggestions? I was thinking about the same fabric that is used on khaki pants, but is khaki an actual fabric or just a color? Help! -Danielle http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V2629=x&TI=20005&page=7 |

Guess you forgot the link. Linen comes to mind for the top. It is one of my favorites.

Danielle, khaki is a color and the fabric is twill and comes in a wide range of colors other than khaki. There is an all coton twill and a polyester twill. Patsy Patsy

Silk Dupioni if you want to go a bit dressier. It would also be very nice for a casual look. |
