Today we're doing some spring cleaning. The dust is flying, and my allergies are just driving me nuts, with itchy skin, sneezing, watery eyes, the whole nine yards. I had to scrub my face and take some allergy meds and stay in one room with the door closed while my husband finished up the vacuuming and dusting. YUCK! :bang:

Its not normally such a problem, but he started moving things that haven't been dusted on top for while, and sorting papers, etc, and the dust really got stirred up.

Anyone else doing spring cleaning? I hate it!

We did some in hubby's office, yuck. I felt like I was going thru the Dead Sea Scrolls. :nervous:

LOL! I know exactly what you mean! It can be so dusty it just makes you want to lock the door and never go in again.

Boy, do we need to cut down on clutter or what!!! With less stuff, there would be less dusting, but I just can't seem to make myself sort and declutter again... yet.

I spent a lot of time doing that last year and the year before, and I'm just burned out from it.

Gotta face it and do it again though; if we ever moved, we'd have a BIG problem! There's just too much stuff here, and its too hard to keep it clean.

My problem is that I'm both sentimental and a packrat... oh, and I'm also thrifty. Its hard to throw anything out!

Hugs

Did it last Friday. All I have left to do now are the closets and windows. Good thing I life in a one bedroom appartment ... with one walk-in closet in the hallway, 2 closets in the bedroom and a linen closet. That's too many as far as cleaning goes. The cats will have a field day when I empty them (the closets, not the cats :bg: )

MY DH has "started" cleaning his office. I am leaving him to his own resources to clean that room. :whacky: I'm afraid something might jump out of some of those piles of paper he has and onto me. :bolt: At some point, though, I am going to go in there with a can of Lysol spray and deodorize the place! It smells like a sports locker room in there. Yuck!!! I was hanging clean laundry out of the dryer last night and went in to hang a knit shirt in his closet and about 10 things from the top of the closet fell on me and he accused me of messing up his closet. I really had a hard time figuring that out since his closet also looks like a rat's nest. From now on I'm going to hang his clean clothes on the door to that room and see how long it takes him to either hang them in the closet where they belong or wear them right off the door. Yeesh!!! and he wonders why I get upset when I'm cleaning house. :nc:
