Being a novice machine embroiderer, I have a lot of practice designs that turned out great. I save them of course, being raised as a frugel person. Plus they are too gosh darn pretty to pitch. But what to do with them next? What do you all do with your practice pieces and oops-es? What great projects have come out a mistake? Don't be so open minded your brains fall out.

natred2 if you have stitched out designs that you don't know what to do with, donate them to a local quilt guild or quilt group and they would probably use them to make charity quilts for children, local hospitals, local police/sheriff's departments, local women's shelters. Patsy Patsy

Charity and quilting are great ideas, thanks. I hate the thought of throwing them away.

They might be nice to embellish a greeting card, if you are into that kind of craft...or maybe scrapbooks, or photo frames, depending on the sizes of course.
Take care,

Mini-pillows may be cute too. Or fragrance sachets. Small gifts that are bound to please.

those are some great ideas thanks. I am going to keep saving them for awhile.. I'll bet sooner or later I will have enough for a full sized quilt. Hmm actually, my daughter is moving soon and I have some that would look good as a nice wall hanging for her new apartment... my mind is a ticking now. Don't be so open minded your brains fall out.

Here's an example of a mini wallhanging with just one design in the center. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/e-zabelle/228a3773.jpg English sewing journal: Kitty Couture
