I sit here this a.m. unstitching a seam on "the prom dress". This is not fun. It's a knit/stretch stitch and the thread blends in perfectly. During the final fitting last night, I told her I would have it done by Sunday night. It's a good thing the weather is dreary. I will have to take a break and tend to the critters, but no gardening today, other than to bring some plants in as the weatherman is calling for snow. Her mom loves the dress and her dad asked where the back was. I am a little upset as we went to her house last night and now the dress smells of smoke. I think I will hand wash it before I give it back, or maybe now, as I am having a difficult time tolerating it. I've got a few hours to go yet. Purpose of this post: I should have basted first. |

We did get snow. All day Sunday. Stuck a little in the a.m. Very windy and kept me inside. I finished the prom dress and can't wait to get a photo of her in it! |
