Well it just goes to show you theres more than one use for just about anything. I can't see those of us outside India, using condoms when we sew...(but I have read about people using coffee filters for stabilizer, so maybe using condoms for sewing isn't all that far fetched....)

After reading this, I will definitely wonder the next time I see clothing labeled "Made in India"!

Thanks, that was amusing. Makes you think--India might be a good market for anyone trying to peddle sewing machine oil, doncha think? Nothing like a little ingenuity. My quilting instructor, a wonderful and accomplished artist, told us to use a latex finger cot (just like a teeny tiny condom, but used for first aid, I think) instead of a thimble to protect ourselves when hand quilting without losing sensation, which is helpful for getting small, even stitches.

Well, I guess that we don't have to worry about clothing that we get from India as it seems that they use "Safe Sewing".

We'll have to call "CSI" to solve the case! It will be SEW much of a mystery....lots of international intrigue. I wonder if the series writers have though of that!
