I happened upon a new magazine, new to me anyway. It is called Piecework. Published bi-monthly by www.interweave.com

It is entirely handwork. Lots of ethnic stitching, interesting articles and new sites to surf thru. A story on May Morris, daughter of William Morris the famous English stitcher. They included a design on silk dupioni to stitch for a runner. So elegant.

There is also a new book out called Hip to Stitch by Melinda Barta. 20 contemporary projects embellished with thread. That sounds neat too.

It's been around for a while, I learned the secret to shuttle tatting from it years ago. Glad you found it, it is one that never gets "dated" and you end up with a closet full, cannot throw away! Betty
