We got a new Walmart here, and I always like to check out their fabric sections to see if there's anything, and this one had the most absolutely amazing fabric section I'd ever seen. Some of their selections beat out our local Joann's store and definetely were better prices ($5 a yard for brocade, and they were gorgeous). I had to restrain myself from buying up way too much, as it was I bought stuff for imaginary projects I'm not doing right now.
Oh well, can't wait to go back when I don't have the twins and can actually look at it.

Does yours have a $1 yard table? When I used to live in Ohio the dollar table was always so much fun to buy stuff to experiment with if it flopped, oh well.... not out too much money!

I love Walmart's $1 a yard table... like you said.. you can make a project and if it doesn't work out... no big deal... so much fun!!

I agree, and sometimes they have the best fabric. One time it had the best homespun for a dollar a yard, and I used it for the border on a quilt I made my husband. I can't wait until I have time to sew and can go back there with an actual purpose.

I live off of the $1 tabel at my local wally world! If it wasn't for that tabel i probablly wouldn't be able to sew! I have found the greatest fabrics in the 1 and 2 dollar areas, also the little remnant stash that they just throw the bundles of 1 -3 yard pieces... lot's of great baby stuff in the wings at my house, i'm actually planing on going over there tonight. I don't live too close to any larger cities other than austin and I don't get over there too much, (the a/c on my car ... not so good!) so i don't get to go to joanns and the bigger guys so much, they are all over an hour away! GOTTA LOVE WAL-MART!

You gals are so lucky to have a $1 at Walmart, in Canada we don't get those, but the next time I'm in Bellingham, I know where I'm stopping in!!
