I am running late on getting the lesson for May so please don't get on Mary's case, it is I this time. Just be patient, will be only a few days late. Thanks for understanding.

The teacher can have an excused tardy!

I have plenty to do in May since it is the arrival of boating season. I have a lot of canvas/boating projects I will be working on.
Happy sewing/quilting/crafting

Brenda, Teacher has already broke us all in on the triangle thing with the first block. It really shook us all up..........but in the end, think we all learned a lot.

Every time I think, OH what is Joanne doing to us this time..............it suddenly becomes clear and off we go. I am having a few problems but it isn't the blocks, it is the stupid fabric choice I made on block number one. So come and join the fun!

If we aren't allowed to get on Mary's case this month does that mean we can get on your case because the block is late? LOL. Just kidding........I have PLENTY to keep me busy in the mean time. Still don't have all of my April blocks done but, headed to the zoo with the grandkids this weekend so hoping to get a couple of good pics to use in the other 2 April blocks I want to do.

Take your time Joanne-we'll try to behave.

Oh you are all so forgiving lol....just a very hectic week for specialists and new heart medication so the old teacher is sluggish this week but will be ready shortly. Turning out nice if I say so myself lol

Brenda, triangles are always a fear for quilters but once you pass that fear you are on your way to doing many quilts as lots of patterns call for them. Come on now you can do it, look at all the wonderful quilters we have here sewing away on these blocks.

I think I am biting my words ... she's gonna do one with triangles like ... flying geese! I dunno ... we'll see and I am hoping to join. My other biggest problem is what fabric to use ... too many choices it's so overwhelming! But fun at the same time!

Thanks for your encouragement words!

Joanne - take it easy and I know how things can be "slow" up there especially with OHIP (I forget the new insurance name) - hope all is well!

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Glad that YOU ALL find this SOOOOOOOOOOO amusing!!!! May is my only month left before all "H" breaks out here!!!! DD is already in pre-wedding Hyper mode!!!!!!!! Dad is close behind, and now me, ME!!!! I will be in the NUT HOUSE FOR SURE!!!! Between waiting for Blocks and Weddings. ALL OF YOU ARE PLOTTING AGAINST ME!!!!!!!!!!! You are all in on this together aren't you!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Slowly I turn, step by step, inch by inch...............

"Won't you come and stay with me at the "Bates Motel"???? I will show you my pretty Quilt that I made a long time ago. I made it before they put me on tranquilizers for my nerves. I have to carry this tank of H2O with me everywhere, because I turn blue when I'm stressed out."

There you all are, worrying about if she will teach us, triangles, squares, curves, corners. Those are not, I REPEAT- "ARE NOT" important issues here!!!

MY SANITY IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT HERE!!!!! How can all of you ignore this delicate subject??? When I say I need my BOM "I" really mean it!!!!! I don't care what the block is about I just need my FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I hate being a misunderstood person, nobody knows what it's like to be in this head of mine.

"They are plotting against me."" No Dear, they aren't, now take your meds." "Oh right, dope up the nut case then with our luck she'll sew ours FINGERS!!!!" " Cybil, oh Cybil are you in there?" "Who's there?" "Jo, Mary is that you?" "Did you post the block yet?"

I have an idea. Why don't you do the signature block. That would give you about 15 blocks to do in one month, than you could stop pacing and wearing your floor out.

Joanne,
We promise to be good! If that is possible with us, lol! I have plenty to keep me busy! I will try to work on the MONTLY THEMED HOUSE BLOCK this afternoon if I can find where I put the fabric I got for it last month. I am beginning to have to look under piles of fabric to see what I have.
OK Girls all together now: " We promise to to be good until May block is posted by Mary." Hugs to you all!
SEW Happie where are you? Maybe she has already turned into that skelton we saw last month~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still crack up when I remember that~~~~~~~~~ Way too cute of Liz ( think who it was) to put that on here!

I am thinking you need to do the 15 signature block thingy too~ We need a block from you in each of our homes!

I'm so happy the block isn't up yet. I know that's odd because I really love doing this surpise quilt but I just finished my MIL's Mother's Day Quilt, I need to finsih the muslin for Julie's pants class and we're rehabbing a house! The good thing is I met my book deadline so now I can take this next week off from writing and try to finish as many projects as I can. I think I'll get that Chrsitmas quilt finsihed while I'm waiting for Joanne.

I can't remember if this has been discussed anywhere but I'd like to quilt this as I go. Did Joanne mention how much sashing we might need to finish the quilt?

TTT means "take to top" or something like that ... it just allows the thread to go back to the top of the section.
