I'm thrilled, my husband just bought me a Pfaff 463 industrial machine. Our rec/sewing room has been under construction for about 6 months and is finally finished. He watched me break my domestic (plastic Husqvarna 105, 6 year old expensive junk) machine at the kitchen table 4 times in the last 6mo. I was just mending and regular sewing - he said why don't you buy a proper metal german machine (Pfaff) instead of getting frustrated with that junk.

He called yesterday and said, I found a machine, come and try it and see if you like it!

The rest is history as any sewing machine collector knows. I now have a industrial behemoth to add to my machine collection. What should I wreck in front of him next?

He spent the evening trying to slow it down for me to make it more controllable. I ordered manuals from Pfaff Canada.

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting used to sewing on an industrial lockstitch machine?

Tips, tricks etc. would be helpful.
