If you could make just one wish, what would it be for your special Mother's Day?

I posted but haven't really thought about it much. I will let ya know.

Ok, now I know. I want for my kids to be happy. I want to hear my grandkids giggle. There is just nothing like it.

I'd like to see my mother-in-law again. She died in August and I've really been missing her. Yesterday was her birthday. She was like my own mother.

I would like to have my son and his wife drop in for the weekend (and do the cooking). They live on the other side of the country. I have visited them but he has not 'been home' in over 10 years and she has never been here! And it is a pretty big country. :Canada:

I would like for this mothers day for my mom to be with us totally. She has Alzheimer. Have all my children grandchildren, my dad (who passed away last Aug and my brother, who passed away this Feb) together laughing, eating, and enjoying each other. I guess I wish I could relive Mothers Day 2000. I have my memories and pictures.

My youngest girl made me a card. The front says it's "This card is guaranteed to make you feel ten years younger". Inside, it's covered with scribble art...cute little stick figures and a big smiling sun. Just like she drew ten years ago.

And that makes me realize that time just goes by too darn quick. As much as the kids drive me up the wall and as much as I sometimes think they can't grow up quick enough, when I look back it seems they were only born yesterday. And their toddler years went by in a wink. And their grade school years have become a blur with only a book of snapshots to bring them back into focus.

I want a 500-year life extension for myself and all my family. I want to see my chilren grow up, get married, have grandchildren...and I want to see the grands grow up, get married and have great-grands....

Life is just too short and I want more time to spend with the people I love.

One wish? Gee that's tough ...

I'd wish to have my mother and grandmother alive to meet/visit their granddaughter and great granddaughter and DD can see their namesake and spend the day together: 4 generations.

Are you sure we were not separated at birth, Summer Echos? You could be my twin sister, except I have no grandchildren - yet !!

I'm not a mother (or a grandmother)...but....

I would wish for 5 more mins with my grandmother and my ferret Bob....

If I could have another wish.....it would be for some peace and quiet from those d*** car stereos....(no I still haven't been able to get help about that)
(the 'mystery' house stereo either...::heavy sigh:: :bang: )

Chyrs, I'm with you, I have a mystery house here too. I'd like to see a bolt of lightning point it out to me while it blows sky high.

Other than that, a gift card to Joann's would be nice..... Those are always welcome.

This sounds selfish but I would like a WHOLE day without interruptions so I could get a quilt top and backing basted..................the only place I have to do it is on the livingroom floor and once it is down, got to stay there until I am done and if people are in and out.........can't have the floor blocked. If I put it down I need a few hours work on it without stopping for the normal stuff..................

I am spending time with all my kids and grand kids tomorrow and Sunday hubby and I have plans...........I know I will get thoughtful gifts.............but that quilt will still be sitting around for a while....................

I would love to have a wonderful day with my DD and GD in the Race for the Cure here in Pittsburgh, to find a cure for Breast cancer. I am a 6 1/2 year survivor. I want also to remember the great Mothers days past when I had my Mother with us. I DO have a super wonderful MIL, so I am truly blest. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all my friends here!!

I wish that just for this Sunday the whole world would stop the hate and killings for 24 hours, that brothers and sisters would reunite and love one another, people of all races, nationalities and religions would come together and love one another, and that all pain weather it be mental pain or physical pain would cease just for a day. My Mother died 2 years ago this May 21 so I know she won't be with me but she would have wished that wish herself so I'm doing it for her.
