Ok, dumb question, but on this Pfaff 1475 that was given to me, when embroidering flowers and such, how do you secure the threads to the back side so as to not allow unravelling? :whacky:

hhmmmm....most machines have a locking stitch at the beginning and the end. (if the digitizer was doing the right thing)..if you need to 'lock' the stitch underneath, tie it off or use some fray check. (make sure it doesn't leak through to the front). I'm thinking you shouldn't HAVE to lock the stitches off....if you do, theres something wrong with the pattern or the machine....

I haven't done a whole lot of projects yet but I have not found the need to "lock" the stitches. My machine seems to doing that just fine on its own. No unravels stitches yet, even through multiple washes.
I would not worry about it.

I agree. If the design's right there'll be locking stitches at the beginning and at the end. If you want to make sure and you can "rewind" your machine for a few stitches (my Brother can do that), why not redo the last 10 stitches.
