Ok, I just took my machine out for the first time in a while... I have been doing just hand sewing recently. well, isn't the machine supposed to push the fabric through just a little bit? because mine is not... I don't have a manual, as my machine is older. and i seem to remember it pulling the fabric through the last time i used it, is something set too tight??? help! ~Krys ... again! Just when I thought it was over....

Krys, the feeddogs should be pushing the fabric through, if they are raised. Are you feeddogs down for some reason? I know that when you do some types of machine quilting, the feeddogs are down, and in embroidery machines, the feeddogs are down during that process, but raised back to normal position when doing regular sewing. Maybe if you tell us what kind of machine you have, someone here will have knowledge of that particular machine, in case I'm not on the right track with my answer. |

I'm sew glad I could be of help! The only thing that made sense to me is that the feed dogs might be down for some reason. My machine does that automatically, which is nice because I sometimes forget to raise them, too. Happy Sewing! |

I lower my feed dogs to clean the machine after every project and forget to raise them again almost every time. Dorothy |
