I didn't use Steam a Seam on my Sunbonnet Sue because I hand appliqued it, which I prefer for a quilt. I did buy some though and last night I was putting together some appliques to fuse on and WOW! It is so much easier to use than the one paper sided fusable. I got a appliqued pressing sheet for Christmas and when you use it and the Steam a Seam, the applique are much easier to put together. Thank you Joanne for introducing us to a great product with our lessons!! Question, does anyone know if they sell this off the bolt? I asked at Joann's today and she said all they carry are the prepackaged pieces. It seems like it would be cheaper if you just bought it not prepackaged, plus if you need a big piece the sheets would be too small. Goes to show you are never too old to learn some new tricks!!! Norma, they do sell this in rolls. They are mostly all the same width but they cut how many yards you need. |

You usually can find those Seam in bolts (or rather, roll) at a quilting store ... try checkin' out your local quilting store. I need more of those so I plan to hit a new one in my area with my 20% total off birthday card along with 30's fabrics and fabric pen, etc...

Thanks for letting me know about Hancocks - I had no idea they sold the SAS fusible web. I will have to check mine. I have seen and heard quilting stores sell for at least $4.99/yard
