I washed a new beach towel that I got at Big Lots cheap, I should have known not to wash it with anything the first time, but anyway it faded blue all over some of my white towels and dish towels  . I haven't dried them but did rewash them with non clorine bleach and my white towels are still blue. Then I threw some Cascade dishwasher soap some one told me to try and that didn't work. Any more suggestion. I used all my bleach on the porch this weekend so I have none at the moment but will get some if that's the only suggestion. It's only about 6 dish towels, one bath towel and about 6 white wash towels but next time I have a stray colored towel it will be washed separtely.

Rit Dyes have a colour remover package. You would need to use 4+ packages with towels, I would think, if you do it in the washing machine. I suspect other dye companies probably have colour removers so check out the shops in your area.

Be careful to only use it with white, some beige or light colours turn different colours.

If you have any try soaking overnight in "oxyclean" It took out color on T shirts when blue jeans faded. Towels will be harder because they are made to soak things up. just don't put them in a drier until they are the color you want. you can hang them to dry that won't set it.

Thanks to you both. Those cheap towels were ugly too. They were some loud orange and blue but I figured as much as they use the towel for the pool I'd get those so I could get quite a few of them..............but I learned a lesson the hard way. Never again. LOL

My husband decided to be sweet one day and washed all my white uniforms and white pantyhose with a sleeping bag (blue with RED flannel lining) I had HOT pink uniforms and pantyhose. Nothing would take the color out, absolutely nothing. And those were the days when we had to wear white uniforms. He rarely does laundry any more, only his own work clothes, but looking back, it sure was funny, seeing the look on his face when he had to tell me he did laundry!!!!

I soaked all them all night. That didn't work. I finally threw in a cup of bleach and that did it. They are white again. The oxyclean didn't work for me. I soaked them in hot water all night I used about 6 scoops of the stuff in the wash load then put in my Tide liquid and washed them and rinsed them twice. Thanks for all the advice.
