Welcome Houseplantgirl to Sew What New. Have you tried the Hancock fabric site? They have different free patterns mostly made of fleece. Summer Summer

Hi Houseplant girl! And welcome to Sew What's New! I was like you, didn't find a pattern that I really liked. Plus, I wanted a hood! So I made my own pattern. You can find it on my blog, in November 2004: http://e-zabelle.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_e-zabelle_archive.html At the very bottom of the page you've got a pic of the poncho. Then if you scroll up, you'll find "how to make a poncho (1)" : this describes the various styles of poncho. Then, "how to make a poncho (2)" : the pattern and directions Finally, "how to make a poncho (3)": adding a hood. You will find another example of the finished poncho here (http://e-zabelle.blogspot.com/2004/12/so-many-things.html) Hope this helps! Please, please send feedback if you use the pattern. I love to know when it is used, and to know whether it goes together fine for others as well! English sewing journal: Kitty Couture

Gina, I made the turtleneck poncho for my daughter. She loves it..in fact all the teachers at her school wanted one. It is really easy to make too. Sue |

Oh Isabelle, exactly what I was looking for, I want to make a small version for my grand daughter, a water proof shell with fleece lining. It's perfect! Thanks for posting it. Laura
