Once a week I will post a question and you answer it. Now remember there are no right or wrong answers here, just what you think. It can be fun thing to do and in some ways we get to know each other a little better.
So lets give this a try and see what we can come up with, Don't think to hard on it, and don't worry about what someone may think. it is all for fun.
If someone comes up with a question they would like to ask let me know I can sure use it.
Question for the week of June 26.
You have a whole week vacation coming. You can pick anywhere you would like to go. Expenses are all paid for. You may take whom ever you would like.
Where would you go and why? Who would you take with you and why?
Just remember that everything is paid for and you will not have to worry about the household at all.

I would take the family camping. As soon as they had the tents pitched & dinner on the grill, I'd drive home and spend the week tending my garden, sewing, yakking on the phone and sleeping. :re:

Or, I'd go to the mountains of Utah...I spent a few hours in a shepherd's cabin which was built into the side of a mountain once. Beautiful view, gorgeous place...and surprisingly well-equipped. It had a sink w/running water, a fireplace with a rack setup for cooking and a shower & toilet. It was primitive, yet not so much that it would be uncomfortable. Only cold water, though.

This is a hard one...I'd like to go home to San Francisco or back to Hawaii.
Or Ireland, England, wales...Or Japan...I'd take my husband to Japan (he grew up there) I'd take an old boyfriend to SF or Hawaii...I might take my husband to Ireland/England/Wales (he's english/irish) but I might take my sister along too.

Or I might just go to all those places alone...that way I can do what I want without any whiners around....I like adventures, but someone has to be as adventurous as I am....(my sister and husband aren't adventurous...::heavy sigh::)

I would take a Alaskan Cruise, I have always wanted to see the Western shores and I love the sights I have seen of Alaska. I'd take, hubby of course-we could call it our 25th Anniversary Cruise, (hopefully renew our vows on deck with a scenic back drop), DD and her spouse-to-be, DS and his girlfriend, my DB & SIL and my DS and BIL & their son, who was born on my 16th b'day- so he's just like a little brother to me, and all of DB's sibblings and their families. If there is any room left I would take my SIL's sister (who I am named after)and her DD with new spouse & kids.

Well...........since I only have a week...............I would take my family to Yellowstone Park. We've always wanted to go and haven't made it there yet. If we only hit one place-altho a big one it is, we'd have time to relax as well as sightsee.

Now with 2 weeks I'd probably head to England, Scotland & Wales. My Dad was from Wales and my daughter and I had a great time for 10 days in England several years ago. I also have friends over there. I would probably take my daughter with me as she seems to be the one who is more interested in family history plus we had a great time before!

with a month or more I'd be headed to Australia & New Zealand-places I've always wanted to go. Would also like to visit Alaska-cruise up and drive down I think.

Great game Summer! Where would you go?

The selfish part of me would go to Australia and do the fly and ride week. This is where you fly down and a Harley is waiting at the airport for you. I would take some of my riding buddies along.
The mom part of me would take the kids, their significant others and grandkids to Florida to do all the attractions down there. My kids have been there but not my grandkids. One thing we would do while there is swim with the dolphins.
A week isn't very long is it?

Hmmm...If I only had a week, I'd take my hubby (my best friend and partner in crime), my DS and his GF, my DD, DGD and maybe someone to watch DGD when the grownups go out at night. We'd either fly to St. Kitts in the Caribbean or take an Alaskan Cruise. If we had more time, I'd definitely bring everyone to England to visit our newly found, long lost cousins (who will be visiting us shortly!). Then we'd hop over to Ireland to see the sights, do some genealogy research that I can't seem to get done here, and hopefully find some more lost cousins!

Great question.

I would take my mother to visit my daughter in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She married an Arab (whom we absolutely adore) and moved over there 11 years ago. We visited 5 1/2 years ago and have not seen 3 of our grandchildren (except in pictures). When their house is finished (with luck in the next 1 to 1-1/2 years) we will make the trip again as it is easier for two of us to travel over there than it is for her to travel with six children to the states.

Thanks for the fun game!!!

Have a Wonderful Day ladies!!!

I'd go to Miami Beach. In February, I went there for a 3 day conference but didn't have much time to see the sights. I'd spend the week looking around the area and walking for miles along the beach.
OR
I'd go spend a week in either Switzerland or Germany or Italy or France. I went on a bus tour of Europe back in the 80's and loved it. Said I was going to go back but never did.
OR
I'd go to Alberta to drive through the Rockies. Love mountains.

I'd take my sister as she has had a rough life and has never been able to afford to take a trip. I know she would enjoy it.

Hmmm...one week? I'd take DH, catch the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Jasper, then rent a convertible and drive the Columbia Icefields Hwy from Jasper to Banff, down through the Kootneys sightseeing all the way home.
No..Wait....maybe we'll go over to Vancouver Island, hike a bit at Pacific Rim Park, then go to Tofino and stay at the Wickanninnish Inn and Spa and be pampered for a few days.
Then again....my cousin has been wanting us to come down and visit them in New Zealand...we could do that...
OMG!!! I can't decide!!! lol

Rent a small RV, pack up 4" refractor (telescope) and mount, computers and head for dark skies for a week. No family, just peace and quiet and good seeing.

I would take my whole family, kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews etc to the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma, so they could get to know their heritage better. I would time it during the Labor Day Pow Wow, which is held on the Tushka Homa Council House Grounds. My Grandfather was on the Tribal Council there. My mother's home was near there. I would take them to Fort Washita (the only fort ever built to protect the Indian from the white man!) where a large part of our family is buried. And tell them the tales of the "spirits" of the place. I would show them how to play the games and do some of the handwork and tell them some of the tales of their family. I would teach them of the historical figures in the family (and some of the more interesting skeletons). Of course, my brothers would be there and we would have a grand time teasing the heck out of each other! We would take the kids swimming in the creeks and ponds we swam in (yes, we still can, at least those that haven't been dammed up) And when the week was over, the kids would have tons of memories and traditions to pass on to the next generations. What a wonderful week that would be!

tho a week wouldn't be long enough I would make it count. I dream of going back to Germany where my first husband was stationed(1978-1979) and see all the Castles of Germany again. When I was there the first time we were broke and I had 2 babies to takes everywhere with me and yet the sites we did get to see have remained with me as a dream to re-visit someday. Also the visit to the Concentration Camp touched my soul and gave me an appreciation of life that stays with me to this day.

I want to visit the South Pacific. (Tahiti) Bask in a hammock in the shade of palm trees eating fruit and fish. Sleep on the beach at night under the stars with my honey. But that's not possible it would take two days to get there and two days to get back and I'd have to have at least 6 days to rest up and relax while I'm there. Oh shoot, feels good to dream doesn't it SummerEcho?

With only a week, I would go back to London where we had our honeymoon. I got sick for a good portion of while we were there and didn't get to see all that I wanted to see. Then, I could go back to the Globe and see lots more plays there, we had so much fun!
If babies were older, say elementary age, either Chincoteague, Virginia or Disneyworld.
Oh, and I'd take my family, maybe even some of my good friends.....

Only a week!!!!!!!! LOL. Somewhere in the tropics, the less people the better, and I'd take my boys. We could splash in the lagoon and build sand castles all week.

:Canada :
My dream trip would be to go to a Quilting Workshop. I read about one that was held in the mountains. They worked outside a great deal of the time.
The descripton of this place was so beautiful. I never kept the article because it was just a dream. I have a young friend that is just an absolute angel. She went to school with our youngest son. She is the mother of 4 children. She does the most beautiful sewing. Every Christmas she makes beautiful outfits for her whole family. She even makes a suit for her husband. She and her husband run a farm, she also cleans houses and never has a moment to herself. On top of this hard work she discovered that she has breast cancer. She came in to tell me but never once complained. She just said "I am going to get better." Her husband drove her for her chemo. She always made dinners up before her treatment on the week-end when she wasn't having treatment. Her husband got her a lovely new sewing machine and had a sewing room made for her on the week that she had to stay in the city. She loves life so much and is doing beautifully. I would love to see her face when she was told she was going to a quilting workshop. :Canada:
