I'm working on a baby onsie and, reading directions, realized that one of them says to do Stay Stitching around the neck. What is this and how do I do it? My husbands grandmother tried to tell me, but I'm not sure I understand. She also said that she uses some water soluble stabalizer when sewing knits to keep the fabric from stretching..... does this work and how would I use it? Thanks in advance for the help |

Stay stitching helps to prevent the neckline from stretching making it bigger than it should be. How I do this is I start in the middle of the neckline and stitch towards the shoulder, then do the other side. Maybe this will explain it better. http://www.denverfabrics.com/pages/sewinginfo/simplicity-sewing-hints/sewing-stay.htm Summer Summer
