I don't have that one but I have just bought this one. Like any new toy, you have to learn to drive it first and along comes teething problems. So I was just curious to find out if anyone had one that I could exchange idea's with. Nevermind I will keep going until things are running smoothly.
Thanks for the replies anyway.

Yes I have Mary and I was playing with it over the long weekend. But I was getting really frustrated with the darn thing, things were not running smoothly at all. However I am now on a roll, speeding my way to happiness. :bluesmile

Go buy yourself a few plain twin sheets and practice on those.Just cover them, they don't matter, you are learning to controi it now.You have to learn to crawl before you walk. I don't have one but have followed the long arm quilt list at Quiltroplis for a few years dreaming of having my own. This is the advice they give to new LA quilters.I've been looking at these
http://www.pennywinklevalleyranch.com/html/professional.html and doign alot of dreaming.**~~sigh~~** I have no room for anything right now so dreaming is all I can do.

Thanks for the tip chris. I can see that I will go through a lot of material while learning. To do stippling isn't a problem at all, that is quite easy but following a pattern is going to be more challenging. I have been drawing all sorts of shapes and trying to keep on the lines. I download some continuous patterns too so I will have a go at those in a day or too. It is all fun.

I never knew they were around until the other month when I spotted one...I thought WoW!!!!! that should be fun....so I quickly put that on my wish list.

I like the machine in that photo in the link you put up, seems to have lots of room for the quilt. Great for doing a large quilt without the quilting table too.

There's a place here in Oklahoma City where you can take a class on using a long arm quilter and then rent it by the hour or by the day and do your quilting right on the site. That has been put on my to-do list for when I retire.
