Ok, I am working on a baby jumpsuit on streachy fabric. My problem is that some of the stitches are raised. It's hard to explain. It's like most of the stitches are like ------- then some pop up like ---^--^--^. Imagine that in 3 demensions and the arrows are t he loose stitches. Is this a tension problem? |

If they are even and they do that it is tension but if they skip and do that, change to a stretch or knit needle. They do better on knits.

Some machines, even the older ones, have a stretch stitch - you might try using that. It looks kind of like this (only a whole lot smaller - I just couldn't make it smaller using these keys!). \ \ \ / / / \ \ \ / / / Hope that helps. KayTee |

OOps - sorry. That graphic didn't turn out at all. It's like a wide zigzag, but each zig has 2 or 3 stitches. Ditto for the zag. I think this explanation is getting worse instead of better! KayTee |
