Any tips/hints on embroidering silk dupioni? This is probably one of the few items I haven't tried yet so any voices of experince will be appreciated. These are flat pieces that eventually will be part of a quilt so nothing to work around.TIA!

Don't hoop it....use sticky on the hoop, med cutaway underneath...I've done a lot of this for s quilt....it's easy ! and it looks beautiful....

I was kind of thinking of using my R8 hoop-it-all because I was going to need to rehoop the designs so it is good to hear that this is the way to go.I think the quilt designer recomends some sort of iron on interfacing for the silk so the cutaway might not be necessary?I'll test something small to make sure before tackling the big panels.I'm sort of flying blind since the one I want to do is only a photo. Now all I have to do is let the fabric age while I mull whether this is really doable or not.
