I need help! I was checking my manual for my sewing machine (a Huskystar 207) to see how to lower the feed teeth (I've heard them called feed dogs, but the manual calls them feed teeth). Well, I got them lowered with no problem...and now I can't seem to raise them back! There's a lever, and there are two notches it can go up into. Here's how they are labeled (left and right): _^^^_ -^^^- Not exactly to scale, but basically if it's on the left the feed teeth are supposed to be raised, and on the right they're supposed to be lowered, right? Well, they went down when I pushed it to the right, and then when I pushed it back to the left, they just stayed down. I can reach in and push them up manually, but that obviously won't work for sewing as I can't keep my hand in there! Is there something else I'm supposed to do in order to get them raised? I was really hoping to get some stuff done today...can anyone help me? Thanks! ~Amanda |

Might be a silly reply do forgive me but on my machine you push the leaver to lower and then when you return it the feeddgos don't go up until you start sewing again. Sorry probaly no help at all. |

That was it! Now why didn't it say that in the manual? :p Thank you both so much - you are my heroes. |

No ONES manuals tell you about the feed dogs and that you have to start sewing to get them back up....I think manuals are written without real people in mind....

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's had this problem. I thought about calling the shop where I got it, but I figured it was probably a simple solution that I was just missing. |

I messed with my machine over a hour today looking for stuck thread...it would sew only tiny, tiny stitches. I am thinking $$$$$$$$ to have it fixed. I thought maybe lowering the feed dogs would let me see something, so when I tried to lower them........they already were down!!!! That was the whole problem, my machine is fixed, and I felt like the biggest "DUH" in town. Betty |

I have a BabyLock machine and when I raise my feed dogs after lowering them, I have to turn the wheel by hand one turn before they come up again. Hope this helps. Violet I've decided to live forever - so far, so good.
