OK, I don't have my serger - YET - and I don't think I need to make corded pintucks. But I need a tutorial on pintucks - anyone know of one?

I am making the #9 blouse from Ottobre 4/2004.

Thank you!

I don't know where to find a tutorial but I use a twin needle and gimp for the cording, the zigzag effect on the underside holds the gimp in and makes a really nice pintuck, use an open or satin stitch foot so you wno't flatten the tuck (or if you have a pintuck foot you could use that)

you really don't need a serger to make pin tucks, only a double needle and a pin tuck foot. Both of these come in different sizes. I do not know about the pattern you are using, never tried that magazine yet. Wish I could help more. Betty

Try and follow this to the tutorial. Is this the same kind of pleat you're going for?

sewing room (http://www.vsmgroup.com/husqvarnaviking/sewingroom/sewingroom_us.asp) Choose Techniques from red menu at top, and then choose pleats in the next menu. It should be very clear. (Are these the ones people mean when they say pin tuck pleats?)

Hi Blackie, I googled pintucks and came up with some sites for you to check out.
http://sewing.about.com/library/weekly/aa032701a.htm
http://www.sewnews.com/library/sewnews/library/aatips26.htm#tips
http://www.sew-whats-new.com/sewinglessons/pintucks.shtml
http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/review/readreview.pl?readreview=1&ID=806
http://www.taunton.com/threads/pdf/TwinNeedleChart.pdf

Hope these help you. I even printed the last one out as I thought it was a pretty good site.
