Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends. What are you planning to do today? Any celebrations in the air?

My day started very early: two of the furballs fell in love with me ... at 5:45 a.m. so up I went, fed them and myself. I will probably stay indoors as the forecast is very hot and very muggy. I will be cooking quite a bit as I have a big order to deliver on Monday a.m. and would like to take care of that today. If I have any time left, I'll probably work on the loveseat cover and get that over with.

Dede, you beat me to it. Happy Canada Day to everyone here. :Canada: :Canada: :Canada:

It is cold and misty here today. Not much going on for us until this afternoon when we have family over for a barbecue. I hope it warms up.

Happy Canada Day :Canada:

It is a beautiful day here in Southern Ontario and the horrid humidity it suppose to ease off this morning bringing the temperature down to 82 F. We are off for a picnic and then bike riding at Point Pelee. Point Pelee is the most southern part of Canada at the 42 parallel and is known mostly for the migratory birds but we enjoy it all summer.

Have a great and safe Canada Day eveyone! and a Happy 4th of July :USA: weekend to our American friends.

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends!! 82 sounds great even with some humidity! It is supposed to be 112 or higher here today. Humidity or not, hot is hot.

Have a safe & happy Canada Day.

And to all my American Friends, happy 4th of July! Stay safe, be cool, & enjoy!

Happy Canada from Way up North. We are off to the parade this morning and then going to the Fishermans Wharf for lunch. Anything better then fresh fish and chips? Then after the Wharf we need to go to the museum for tea.

We are supposed to hit a high of 75 F (24C) today but since we are already 74F (23C) we are probably going to get hotter. That is very hot for us. Heres hoping for no forest fires due to this heat.

Today, I started by watering my garden as it was already 25°C at 7:30 a.m....today supposed to feel like 35°C with the humidex and they are forecasting thunderstorms.

During the morning and afternoon I have the TV on and I'm watching the Canada Day festivities on Parliament Hill (in air-conditioned comfort). I watched the Snowbirds fly overhead during the noon hour...every year I get them flying over my house multiple times while they wait for the queue to do the fly-by on Parliament Hill. I get to see more of them than anyone on the Hill will.
Tonight, unless it is raining, I will probably walk up to the hill top near my house and watch the fireworks that are scheduled to start at 10:05 p.m. Don't go into the Hill for this...been there, done that...and it can be frightening when after the fireworks 300,000+ people all try to leave the Hill through those three gates.

Happy Canada Day! :Canada:

I will be up that way in a couple of weeks...can't wait :dave: , although I understand that we will get no reprieve from the heat as we were hoping! :bolt: We were so concerned about camping in the heat that we broke down and got an air conditioner installed in our pop-up. Whew! :whacky:
Take care,
Donna
