Glad you like them! I am surprised too...It took longer to get that package over the border to Halifax than it took to get to the Toronto, Ottawa and BC areas. :bluewink: Go! Canada Post! Go! :bluewink:

You are our mighty leader. You deserve something nice every now and then. I'm glad you were surprised. I think Brenda was just as excited about you getting your blocks as you and Joanne were about recieving them. Glad you like them. I know the ones that sent in all the blocks are very nice but I must say Libby and Jan and the others who did't do the whole thing have me curious to what they did. Mary when you can send us a pic of yours, so we can see your finished project. I enjoyed doing my blocks. ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) Susie

Your welcome Mary!

I'd like to see a picture of your finished quilt also. Maybe JoAnn can create another album for the signature block swap? When each of you complete your quilts a picture of the finished quilt or quilt top could be posted. I'm sorry swappers I didn't participate with the swap, but I had a lot of other customer sewing projects, my projects and my full-time job to do. I just couldn't commit to something I might not get finished and then everyone would be waiting. I could commit to a few for the two ladies that have inspired me to be creative with sewing again and to give a try at quilting. I had always wanted to quilt, but never had the time or knew where to start. Thanks Mary & Joanne.

Libby you said it so elegantly. Mary and Jo you are special to us. You have brought a lot of people who love to sew together to share our love. That makes my day every day. Hugs to you both.

Hey Mary, your very welcome for the blocks, thanks to BOTH you and Joanne for getting me into quilting. I have always loved sewing, but quilting is so wonderfully relaxing for me. NOW I am not sure my DH would agree, as we are planning a long weekend to Ohio to visit, along with other things, my favorite Amish quilt shops....of course he REALLY doesn't know what is in my stash... :re: :re: YES 3 cheers for Brenda for bringing this swap together.. :bluewink: :bluewink:

Now you get it ... you two were in the surprise the whole time ... just had to try to recruit as many quilting block people as possible ... someone suggested to try Joanne's students so that made sense ...

Anyway it all ends well so let's just end it there :) :bolt:

Glad you two like it ... it worked out! Great!

I'm sorry I couldn't participate but I had too much going on & didn't want to commit & then not follow through. I have thought about the christmas swap but since I don't know if I will have a job or not I don't want to commit too anything intil I know what my life will be like come fall. If I know before the sign up deadline I will let you know.

Oh Yeah!!! YIPPEE!!! YIPPEE!!! Am so happy Mary W and Joanne both have their blocks~~~~~~~~~~~I was busting a gut, but would not spoil the surprise!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~ You two ladies are the BEST! My boys would say you are the bomb. LOL! I hope that means awesome in oldie terms too~ LOL~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I tell ya ladies, I have stopped going to my quilting class each week here in town, bc between the two of you I am TOO BUSY WIth our stuff to go anymore~ LOL~ I like it when we all work on things together as we did this and are doing with the advent blocks. I really enjoy it very much~ We once did the same projects in my class here but somehow everyone got off on their own thing and it was not the same anymore. Anyways I am having a blast here and am here to stay! Unless Joanne and Mary kicks me out for being enory at times~ LOL~
My DH and I had to leave town immediately Wed by noon of this past weekfor a family emergencey and just got home tonight. My niece had that gastric bypass surgery done back in Jan and has had a horrible time getting over it! Anyways she almost did not come thru this last bout. But they put a feeding tube in and that has saved her life! Thank you Lord for this! She has lost 115 lbs with it and looks good but at a terrrible cost to her health~ She is better now and so we came home today. Was held up on the interstate twice (hr each time for wrecks or construction.) An 8 hr trip turned into a 11 hr one today. Then going, oh man, we were 5 hrs from home and pulled in to a EXXON to get gas and the car would not restart~ Well 4 hrs later (1130pm) we got a new battery (the culprit) and were laid up there in that city for the night. So then we started out to our destination again at 6 am on Thurs. All in all we are home and safe now~
Thanks for listening ladies. You all are the bestest I think~ HUGS!
One of the best gifts to give a child/grandchild is your listening ear.

Mine won't get put together until the fall. I think they are all beautiful. I have looked at each one every day. It is so nice to be able to touch them and realize they came from all over the world.
