I've searched the internet without success but maybe someone here can help. I would like to make housecoats (dressing gowns) in terrycloth in our family tartan, MacLachlan - modern. Failing the tartan, in a plaid.

You see plaid, terrycloth, mens' housecoats ready made in stores but apparently cannot buy the fabric, at least I have not been able to find it.

I haven't seen the MacLachlan tartan in flannel but do have an old men's shirt from Sears in a plaid that's very close. It is my favourite flannel shirt and getting worn out.

Anybody have any ideas of where I could look? Have already tried several Scottish on-line stores with no luck, though I did find very expensive silk in the MacLachlan tartan.
