I bought this for my babysitter as a housewarming gift from Joann's - she is a scrapbooker ... but this idea can be applicable to quilting ... most people do a 12.5" unfinished quilting blocks ... this would be a great storage container. The first link is a picture of an upclose storage "box" (drawer) and the second picture is the storage container. I am going to buy one next weekend when Joann's has their 50% off on all storage containers ... (regular price is like $50 or $60 http://www.thestoragestore.com/scpaorcacl.html (close up of each storage "bin") http://www.hangercity.com/minches6shal.html (picture of storage container) - Brenda -

That's great about your husband. I bought mine for my babysitter at 60% off ... it was 50% off then I used my 10% total purchase coupon ... they are having another 50% off for all plastic storage containers and this would fall under the same category and I don't want my blocks laying around ... was going to buy one big storage container and haul all of my blocks in it (separated by the huge zippy bags of course) but this way I can separate it and like you said, can take one and play with it and put it back and it has a cover!!! - Brenda -

Very good ideas. Wish we had something like Joann's here.

Oh yeah so do I ... I keep thinking there has to be some kind of store up there that carry this brand ... I don't know if Zellers or maybe Walmart would carry this kind of brand? I also wonder if maybe some scrapbooking store would carry it as well?

Read This-- URGENT-- I read the fine print.. the interior measurements of those drawers is not large enough for a 12 1/2 inch block.. It says Interior measurements is 10 and a freaction inches by something larger.. But that is NOT large enough for a 12 1/2 inch block.. I hope you all read this before you buy something you will be disappointed in..Read This--URGENT-- Sew With Love

Thanks for checking that ... I do have one here and I tested it out with the blocks and it does fit ... but good for others especially if there are some that are very close to this storage container that I have here. Thanks for that watchful eye! Sorry guys - Brenda -
