Im a young bloke and ive just started and im making a pair of pants that i have designed, and ive got a pant pattern but i dont know how to make a fly facing/shield pattern piece...please could somebody help me????

Shannon,

take an other pair of trousers en redraw that what you see. If you have designed a normal pair of zippers. Otherwise contact me by mail, because I am not always here in this forum and I can imagine that you would like to continue working on them.

"Just started" and already designing your own patterns, and pants w/ fly, at that. Good going. I'm currently working through almost the same exact challenge. I'm going to be sitting down studying pants before I go to sleep tonight so I can wake up with a better idea of how to approach this fly!
