This is something I've never heard of before, but why not ? My first thought was to cut from the toe end up to how deep you'd want it to be, sew in a zipper & you'd have one. Maybe easier to slit one side of the sock to put in the zipper that way ? Or you could put in a drawstring. I wouldn't care for that myself. I have to keep an eye on this post to see what people come up with for the fun of it. |

Thanks Theresa. Someone emailed me with this question. It might be kinda neat with some quirky sox.

My daughter bought one for her Nana at the dollar store (I think). It was just a little baby's sock with a metal clasp across the top. The clasp wasn't more than 3" across, I don't think. It was really cute. I found a pic! http://i16.ebayimg.com/02/i/04/81/60/28_1_b.JPG photos.yahoo.com/greendragondesigns

Soooo cute!!! Well, guess I wasn't too far off the track but this is better than a zipper for sure. |

Only I crochet them!! My family thinks they are the cutest things. The clasps were hard to find here in Winnipeg, but I found a store that ordered some for me. They were a hit. Maggi Have a great day! :)

The bottom of the clasp - the part that touches the sock - has about thirty little holes in it, so you just sew it on by hand. I used the same yarn and fishing line (for extra strength). If I can ever figure out how to post pictures of the ones I made I'll let you know. Maggi Have a great day! :)
