I just bought a Husqvarna Viking Platinum 950E sewing machine. Any one else with a Husqvarna? Do you have digitizing software, and what kind?

I have two D1's, and the older ProPlus software. It has all the digitizing and editing, etc. The new 3D software is a little out of my price range right now. What does your machine use, floppies or cards? I know there is some great software out there, cheaper than what Viking makes, and some easier to use - matter of fact, it's probably ALL easier to use, lol. I still have'nt figured it out, and there are some things I've never even opened.

The 950E uses d-cards. I still need to get a d-card reader/writer. I've been looking at the Amazing Designs Click N Stitch Extra software (but will also have to check out the ProPlus software). It doesn't have everything the 3D software does, but it digitizes and does a few other things too.

Thanks!

I have 2 Designer 1's.........and love them.
I also have the Embroidery Pro softwear........
I tried digitizing..........but took me days and many hours for one design.... I do use the customizing and resizing alot. and of course the disk manager to convert designs to be used in my D 1......
Hope you enjoy your machine......... they are wonderful and workhorses.....

Hello, and so happy to see you HV owners. It seems I never see anyone mention Husqvarna on this board. I have the D1 and LLOOVVEE it. It is the best thing since sliced bread. I have only the Customizing Plus software with the conversion and disk writer software. I couldn't afford anymore software at the time. And you are right, those people can sure make a sewing machine, but should just stay out of the software writing business. It works, but you sure have to go the long way 'round about everything! I stumbled onto Embird somehow and decided to try it out, because of the demo version and then affordable price. I love it. It resizes, splits, merges, I think it can convert as well. I don't know because I only download .vip, but I have found it extremely useful. I only use Customizing for doing lettering and writing to disk in the .shv format. I do all my customizing in Embird. If you haven't already you should go to Embird.com and check out their program. I can't say enough about the D1.

Good to see you Husqvarna members!

I have a Husqvarna but not the embroidery machine. I have the Freesia sewing machine and love it.
