Hi everyone,

I am new here. I love to craft and sew. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where i can buy dog dress patterns. I have come across a couple for dog coats, but none for dresses. I have checked mc calls, simplicity, butterick, etc and did a general search and came up with nothing. I know somebody must sell them because I seen some real cute dog dresses on ebay that someone was selling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

What kind of dog dresses are you looking for? Big dogs little dogs? My neighbor who has one of those tiny fit in your handbag dog uses doll clothes patterns to make her princess her clothes. And yes she carries princess around in a handbag.

Hey people treat their dogs like they are their children. What can I say? And yes the dog goes everywhere with her in this handbag! Has outfits for all kinds of shopping or going out. Now I also know a lady who takes her dog into stores in a baby stroller. She would come into JoAnn's with the dog in a stroller and we couldn't do a thing about it.
Now I have made Halloween costumes for peoples dogs and JoAnn's does sell them.

P.S. My dog was a big as a mini horse and the day I tried to put him in clothes he look at me like what the ----? He settled for the collar cover lol.

If it is really cold out my Jack Russell will hide behind the book shelves if I try to put her out without a sweater.
She's smart enough to want the warmth. I buy the cheap ones at the dog stores. She is much to active to put much money or energy into dressing her.
When she was a pup I made her a leopard skin coat (fleece) and not only was it warm she loved the attention it got her. I bought a quickie pattern to make her some fleece jackets for the winter this year.
We tried those boot things to keep her feet warm and I found out how they teach circus dogs to walk on two legs. They didn't go over too well.
When my cat was young and my girls were kids they would dress him up in doll clothes and push him around in the stroller. But that's another show.

Honestly, It'd be fun to try it if I could get my dog on prozac, he's way too active! Once I saw a poodle that was dressed in a cute 1920's sailor outfit, hat and all ! I'm not sure how the dog stood for it, but he sat there peacefully and allowed his mistress to pull him around the flea market in a kids wagon.

June --
The reason Lucy (My JR) and I like the pull on sweaters is because they fit close and don't get in her way when she plays -- and that is all the time.

Dorothy-

That didn't even occur to me, but yes, sweaters would be cute & practical. It might be something to try this Fall.
