Hi Everyone, I wanted to introduce myself as the latest newbie. I'm new to sewing so I thought I would start with a used machine before I started spending lots of $$$. I bought myself a Janome 5001 Memory 7 from eBay; I'm very excited and can't wait for it to arrive. I've been searching the Internet to try to find information on the machine but haven't had much luck. I'm sure I'm going to love and learn lots from this forum. Hi Chrys, Thanks for the responding. This machine is older model from the '70s which is probably why I'm having problems finding any information. Thanks again, Dawn |

Thanks for the suggestion. Should I post this query under the machines forum? I'm not sure if it's a no-no to post to more than one forum. Thanks & have a great evening. Dawn |

I had the memory craft 6000 from the 80's it was Newhome pre Janome.. but don't remember the 5001 .. Do a search on the net and put manual janome/newhome 5001 you might find it that way

Welcome to the site. Here is Janome's toll free # 1-800-631-0183 extension # 774 is customer service. Here is their site www.janome.com You can give them the information they'll need ( questions are there for you ) and they can help you that way. I'd phone if it was me. They are so nice. Also any Janome dealer should be able to help you also. A phone call might even work. Hope this helps & you can get the manual. Surely you can. |
