I don't know how to attach pictures so: Pattern layout (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/FredtheCow/5d70de12.jpg) I am a little confused on how to layout my fabric. I only have one piece of fabric and this picture shows two pieces, and on top of that one piece has the selvage on the Vertical side and the horizontal, while the other has them both on the horizontal. Can someone please explain to me how I layout my fabric. This has puzzled me for hours. I'm well aware that the selvage means the part that doesn't unravel, so howcome one of the pieces shows it right next to the other selvage, and not on the opposite end? My camera is a litte fuzzy so I had to point out where it says selvage. Please look at that carefully ; ) |

You cut the fabric to get the two pieces. Then fold one so some pieces are on the fold. If you fold it so the right sides are together, the part that is single will be right side up so when you lay out the other piece -- which isn't folded -- be sure you lay it out right side up. Dorothy |

Actually my main concern was how the selvage was on the side and on the top too. ;_; then I figured out that the selvage on the side was refering to the selvage in the middle of the cloth that was folded up. Yeah. But thank you = ). Im sure your post would have been helpful to me if I didn't already get the answer from someone else. But thank you. It is really appreciated. |
