Do you have a favorite color? A color that you really don't like?
Now in this we are talking about;
Your clothing
Your house
Your crafting.
Your car/SUV/Truck
Your flower garden
I know sometimes you like a color but it just doesn't look good on you, so you have to find another favorite clothing color.
Maybe you have a few colors you like and few that are at the bottom, what are they?

My fav color is red....always has been. H A T E the color orange. Not too big on the colors yellow or (baby)pink.
Car is silver (you can never tell (unless you're close up) how dirty it is).

Colors in my house are (Asian) red, black, gold(cream), green (emerald or drker).
I wear any color EXCEPT orange, purple and green. (orange makes me look ill, purple makes me look orange and green makes me look yellow)
I'm not overly fond of blue. But I do wear jeans and turquoise colored t-shirts. (drk blue...no no....never in the house)

My house is white/gray brick....Asian lanterns (gray, lighted for night), rocks (white/gray/beige ) in a wave/river pattern around the house and street. Shrubs and trees only.
(shades of green.) I like flowers, I just don't have the will to contend with them all the time.

Notice a theme here ??? (and no I'm not Asian...I think I was born at the wrong time,in the wrong country). oh well...I subsittute.

I love color. All the colors in all sorts of combinations.
I especially like red.
I wear all colors but not too many pastels. But no one color really dominates my wardrobe. Every season, though, I tend to get hooked on a new color. Last spring I did a lot of turquoise and greens. This fall brown seems to nosing in. I have a lot of clothes because that is what I like most to sew.
I live in a brick house so that takes care of color there. But after watching, as a reporter, about 10 towns and village struggle with land use and zoning regulations I always said if I had a house I could paint I would paint it purple. I even considered stopping at every purple house I see and asking the people why they painted it purple -- favorite color, paint on sale, to tick off the neighbors -- for an article. So anyway one day I came home from grocery shopping and my husband had painted the front door and steps purple. It was the talk of the block.
My car is a purple Mini Cooper. I always had red cars and wanted something a little different. I hate yellow cars. They are lemons.
I don't have flowers -- just green everywhere -- this year is so dry it is all turning California gold.
My sewing stash piled on the shelves best expresses my sense of color -- a rainbow -- and then some -- all mixed up in no particular order.
I even like black and white -- especially in movies.

My favorite colors run to blues, greens & yellows-outdoor colors I call them. I HATE orange! Don't look good in it, will us it sometimes in decorating but tend to stay away from it. Only orange I found was the piece of fabric I used for my charm swap a little while ago.....and that I think was pattern more than color that I liked. I have dark green Jimmy that tends to be dirty more than clean! LOL. Colors in the house run to blues/greens/lavenders altho my daughters room is done up in reds & blacks which I also like. My flower garden is whatever color comes up. I tend to like all colors, just seem to gravitate toward some more than others. If it has to do with outdoors, I like it! sometimes wonder why I live in a state where you can hardly go outside for 5-6 months of the year! LOL It is just way too hot especially in July & August. But I head to the mountains whenever I can and enjoy the colors and scenery. Love the fall colors too but since we don't have "fall" in Phx, tend to not dress in many of them.

I love red. Dark cherry red with purple undertones.
Most of my favourite clothes are red (or black or autumn colours lots of olive green and brown) my van is red.
my house is wedgewood blue with white trim, very cottagey look,
my flower garden is riot of colour cause the kids get to pick out the flowers and anything goes! :dave:
I love yellow but I look rather dead in it, but my dd looks fab in yellow so I live vicariously through her that way
I'm not big on orange and have taken a liking to acid green as of late (does not blend with much!)
For sewing I buy too many patterns and have just lately tried to stick with neutral solids (ie sewing with a plan) it's working, sort of, it's hard to get inspired with solids even though I'm usually happy with the results.

I love orange!! and lime green (or whatever that green is called that is popular lately). I can wear both and seem to have an overabundance of orange toned tops this year. I am trying to get away from it and have lots of different colors but I don't like pastels, and prefer autumn colors. I don't like grey or silver cars, seems that's all we had for years. My next car will be a purple 62 ChevyII wagon if I can ever find one to buy! With greyish purple interior and a dark purple roof. My current car is green, which is ok, at least its not grey!! My motorcycle is candy apple red.
My house is beige stucco with orange and red/brown brick. It's a Spanish style, so I've done most of the yard in Mediterranean, lots of lavender, purple and yellows. Inside the walls are almost all yellow except the fireplace wall in the living room is terra cotta orange shades with navy leather couches. Our bedroom is a terra cotta orange. I did a two tone technique throughout the house so the walls have a stucco look to them. I'd love to paint the house a creamy butterscotchy color but DH has a fit everytime I mention it, think one of these days I'll send him on a men's fishing trip and when he comes home it'll be done!

I love Turquoise, Purple and Hot Pink, but any vivid color will catch my eye. My home is mostly earth tones, with a little dusty blue thrown in for good measure. Colors I hate? Non-colors, like beige, tan, blah pastels!
I used to go wild for Chartreuse and orange, but I have toned down a little in my golden years...

Dorothy,

You made me think of one house in Akron that was painted different shades of Purple ( deep to lilac) and then right next door was one painted different shades of green ( baby pea soup green at that) and the one across the street was different shades of HOT PINK!!!!! They had flowers out front that complimented the house paint, but boy where they the talk of the area for a while. The green one has since been painted white, but the other two are still there.

Favorite color, red. In those rare moments where I put color in my wardrobe it's red. otherwise I am a boring color person. My car is black, and my motorcycle is black too. (tho I am dying to find the time to do some custom paint work on it in teal, purple and hot pink!) I wear nothing but blue and black jeans, and most of my T-shirts are navy or black too. I am sure I am buying into the theory that dark colors are more slim-ing and boy do I need some help slim-img.
The one color you won't find find anywhere around me is brown. Just can't get myself to do anything brown. Brown seems like a sad color to me and I want no part of sad colors. Yes I am strange, I've been told this before. ;)

My favorite color is red. Have a red car. House is yellow and white only because husband said no to red. I also like blues, greens and yellows. Hate pinks and oranges.

( I hate my neighbors houses inside...99% are beige/brown people...they think I'm 'daring' with the red/black combination)...hahahahaha...daring....
(I'm just the neighborhood nonconformist...) :bg: :bg: :bg:

I love all shades of pink! I like blue-greens, turquoise, periwinkle, fuchia, most blues and purples....clear tones, not muted. I also love deep rich reds. I usually stay away from all earthtones, browns, yellows, yellowey greens,oranges...except I love olive green. My dream car would be burgundy but my real car is charcoal. My house is yellow but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I decorate in deep greens and cranberry reds. My girls rooms are pink and the master bedroom looks like Monet's waterlillies! I love flowers of all colors...even the ones which I would rather die than wear. I don't wear warm colors. I wear mostly blues, pinks, purples, turquoise....all my favorites, and I love to wear black!

Boy we have quite a few red lovers in the group. Count me in on that too. I love RED bright RED. I do not like blue of any kind or pinks. The only blue I wear are jeans, that is it. I like all bright colors red orange yellow lime green. I am not the pastel person at all. The netural colors are okay as long as you add something bright and bold to them.
My inside of my house is like a bright sunrise and the bedrooms a bright sunset. The only room that is not those colors are my kitchen which is lime green and sunshine yellow. I have a huge kitchen dining area, takes up almost most of the back of the house. My car is red, and when I owned a motorcycle it was black with lots of chrome. The fuel tank had an angel flying painted on it with thunder mixed in. Hard to explain but it was a great picture.
The outside of my house is brick which is in the beige tones, but I plant tons of flowers and bushes that have all the shades of green and bright colors. To help hide the brick I have 2 trumpet vines, one in orange one in yellow that have grown over quite a bit of the plain drab brick. The only exception to my bright colors comes at Christmas. My tree is done with white lights. I am not a fan of the multi colored lights. The presents under the tree are done in bright colors to make up for it.

Odd man out here - I do not like red, yet I have a red car. It was the only one available after my white car (which I didn't care for either) was totalled in an accident 2 months ago. I really, really would have liked a dark blue car, which I think would have been sophisticated and classy for me.

My favourite colour and has been all my life is green- clear green or blue green yet I don't wear green as it doesn't suit me. Most of my green is out of doors. My house is decorated in taupes, rose and plums and small amounts of green and blue. I like all blues and do wear a lot but it must be muted like a French blue and I also look very good in greys and taupes and rose pinks. Navy is my basic black. I wear muted colours as I am very white skined and white hair and bright colours tend to overwhelm me. Everyone sees the colour and not me. I find the same thing draws me when buying fabric and I have to force myself to look at brighter colours or my projects are dull. I do sew and quilt in brighter colours for others. I am not fond of yellow, orange, or brown (yet I have dark oak furniture) but sometimes the designs call for those colours. I recently picked up some Moda fabric, black with bright dots on it which I am mad about and keep buying more and more to go with it, tho I have no idea what I will make.
I love gardening and tend to go in for the pinks, purples and blues but I currently have a lovely yellow petunia with perfume like heaven. I love gloriosa daisies and do have a bed especially for them with my Virginia creeper. They have wonderful fall colours.
Aren't we all interesting!!
