Help - I am using Golden Thread paper over quilt blocks (placemats in this case) to quilt a motif into the block. As it is a detailed motif it is requiring a lot of tracing. Has anyone ever run this paper through a printer? My design is in a printer file. I purpose using spray adhesive to some sort of firm paper and applying the golden thread paper to it and running through the printer. I don't know if 1. the adhesive will work and then allow me to place the golden thread paper on the fabric, 2. what printer ink will do to the golden thread paper and then to the quilt top. I will experiment with this but if any one has done it I would like to hear some pros and cons. *~*~*~* Nancy*~*~*~* " I try to take one day at a time - but sometimes several days attack me at once."

No, I haven't run it through the printer...but I have read a tip about when you need a bunch of patterns (e.g. for paper piecing, etc.) that you can trace on one sheet, then put it on top of a bunch of sheets and sew around the design with an old needle thus punching out multiple copies of the design you want. You may want to give this a try...it could save you some tracing. Good luck.

Thanks Judee that is what I am going to do now as I am short of time and have a lot to quilt. I have done the tracing, but it sure takes a lot of time and my hands hurt. I'll experiment with printer when I'm finished and let you know how it turns out. Nancy *~*~*~* Nancy*~*~*~* " I try to take one day at a time - but sometimes several days attack me at once."
